The school and its context
Redmyre School is a non-denominational, co-educational school and serves the village of Fordoun near Laurencekirk and the surrounding rural area. We have a thriving local community and a very supportive and active parent council and parent forum.
Our school vision for ALL our children:
Achieve Believe Care
At Redmyre School we work in partnership with children, staff, parents/carers and the wider school community to ensure that all our children:
Achieve the best they can.
Believe in themselves and support others to do so too, so that everyone can all achieve.
Care for themselves, others and the natural world around them.
Values that underpin our work
Our shared values:
Respect, Responsibility, Resilience, Kindness and Honesty
Our values are very important to us! They help us to achieve our vision for all our children. By promoting and demonstrating them on a daily basis a positive, supportive and nurturing ethos is developed within our school and its community. Through developing a growth mindset, children are supported to understand and demonstrate resilience and success in all aspects of their learning and wellbeing, now and for the future.
